JOB SPECIFICATION
JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURER (OUTCOMES-BASED ASSESSMENTS)
KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
•Passionate about education, training and youth development
•Work closely with internal stakeholders
•Reporting to management from time to time
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Action all exits for learnerships and skills programmes that completed successfully in correspondence with the relevant assessor
•Quality assure the standard of each learners’ Portfolio of Evidence upon successfully completion of their programme
•Host quarterly workshops with all internal and external assessors to advocate quality standards
•Attendance quarterly meetings with the internal and external moderators.
•Attend policy training sessions hosted by the SETA’s
•Report any assessors’ quality concerns identified to the ETQA manager and Head of Facilitation
•Promote high quality standards among all outcomes-based assessment activities within the organization
•Adhere to SDC’s internal Quality Management System policies and procedures at all times
•Adhere to the relevant ETQA body or SETA’s Quality Management System policies and procedures at all times
•Ensure accurate record keeping of all tasks completed
•Maintain good relationships with all internal and external assessors and moderators
•Bring forth recommendations for improvement and procedure enhancements
•Perform all related administration

PERSON SPECIFICATION COMPETENCIES:

•Strong written and verbal communication
•3 Years Assessing SETA learnerships
•In depth understanding of Portfolio of Evidence delivery requirements for SETA Verifications

SKILLS:

•Excellent Computer Literacy Skills
•Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
•Excellent organizing and multitasking skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to perform well under pressure

EXPERIENCE:

•Proven 3 Years Assessing SETA learnerships
•Successful exit of at least 200 students on an NQF directed learnership

EDUCATION:

•Grade 12

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Services SETA Constituent Assessor Registration for various qualifications with Preference for 67465 Business Administration NQF 3.
•Certificate in Administration NQF 5 or related

KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

•Reporting to management from time to time
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Facilitate all allocated training programmes on offer at the institution.
•Plan, prepare and conduct all assessments for allocated learners, in conformance with the relevant Education, Training and Quality Assurer policies and procedures.
•Ensure continued development of all allocated learners at the institution.
•Coordinate internal assessment activities with students, in line with the internal Assessment Policies and procedures.•Report on assessment progress regularly, for all allocated learners.
•Ensure valid assessor registration status with the relevant Education, Training and Quality Assurer, for all allocated programmes.
•Ensure self-development and continued research in the field of subject-matter practice.•Report on and recommend required improvements for quality within the facilitation and assessment scope of the institution.
•Improve the content of training material when the need is identified.
•Gather and report on all information regarding SAQA, SETA, QCTO, DHET and related landscapes and legislation.
•Assist with all facilitation and assessment-related administration.
