The NSBC is a powerful network of 127 000+ small to medium size businesses and these awards recognize the hard work and successes of small businesses and entrepreneurs in South Africa.
Daniel Gibhard, CEO at The Skills Development Corporation says that since opening its doors in 2012, SDC has been striving to fill the void left between skills development training and assisting businesses in meeting their B-BBEE requirements. “Due to the lack of quality training plus the evidence that suggested businesses were being exploited simply because they didn’t understand how Skills Development can be used to a company’s advantage, meant that we found a niche that specifically focussed on the Skills Development element of the B-BBEE score card,” says Gibhard. “By building a strategy and business growth plan surrounding this niche, we have managed to ‘be the difference’ for not only our clients, but for our enthusiastic learners too which is testament to this award win.”
“The NSBC is Africa’s leading SME organisation and the fastest growing organisation of its kind and we are honoured to receive this award,” concludes Gibhard.
