OUR SERVICES

Skills Development and the legislative requirements in order to make skills development work in favour of your business, whilst proactively
doing something to help curb the dire youth unemployment crisis in South Africa, can be daunting…… If you don’t understand it.

The Skills Development Corporation (SDC) has undertaken to granularly understand the legislative requirements, and opportunities that a business in today’s
South African economic environment can use to a) drastically improve their B-BBEE scorecard, b) teach and upskill existing workforces through accredited programs that are certified
under the 21 SETA (Sector Education 4and Training Authority) and c) proactively make a difference to the youth unemployment rate.

MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

The SDC slogan reads, “We are the difference”, and we stand by that 100%. Skills Development has become an “industry” and in a lot of ways that’s a good thing. On the other hand, there are Training Providers that are constantly looking for short cuts, and focusing on quantities rather than quality, pushing for higher numbers to reach higher turnovers.

Skills Development is supposed to be approached with patience, because really developing a skill comes over time. At SDC, our end goal and main focus lies in furthering our learner’s abilities. We want to give them a solid foundation and equip them for their future. The future for our learners is to become full-time employees and not professional learners, being recycled by Training providers for personal gain. Hence, “We are the difference”.
